Buyers should state simultaneous flow and head, working pressure, fluid temperature, viscosity, solids and NPSH available. For a self priming centrifugal pump, add the static suction lift, suction-line length and whether the casing will be filled before first start. Electrical supply (voltage, phase, frequency) and footprint limits belong in the same brief so motor frames are not guessed later. Quantity, destination country and the requested delivery window keep Incoterms comparable. Optional budget with currency and per-unit or whole-order basis may be attached; it is a buyer preference, not a verified market index.

Each centrifugal pump manufacturer should mark the duty on the selected curve, identify impeller diameter and speed, and list seal and wetted materials against the stated fluid. If a high pressure centrifugal pump or multistage centrifugal pump is proposed, the pressure-containing envelope and number of stages must be those of that exact arrangement, not a different family page. Self-priming answers must include the fill procedure and how loss of prime is detected; a self-priming label is not permission for unrestricted dry running. Included items versus separately quoted site work should appear as two lists.

Typical gaps are missing NPSH available, unspecified solids, unclear motor starting method, and FAT/SAT unsigned. Installation, piping, training days and recommended spare parts often remain outside the machine line. Those deviations stay open until the named supplier answers; this desk does not close them by inventing values. Engineering acceptance remains a contract matter between buyer and supplier.
